thankyouMy heartfelt thanks for all the coaches who supported my campaign in the ICF Board election. I believe that together we can create a stronger platform for delivering our ideals and aspirations. Over the years, I have enjoyed working with my peers to help build a solid foundation. Examples of my contributions include working as the ICF global Marketing Committee Chair, immediate 2 term charter chapter past president, coaching 2011 ICF country leaders from the Baltic to Cape Horn, participating on committees, special interest groups, task forces, and co-founding the East Coast Leaders Council. Along with other global initiatives, I have served the ICF at a variety of levels in an array of positions, contributing to the creation of a more engaging, vibrant, and viable profession. The stunning results that are generated when we tap into our talents and work together are overwhelming. Globally, we can use our different perspectives and competencies to make meaningful experiences for all: the people who serve us, and the people we serve. Let's continue to ethically create an attractive credible presence, voice for professional coaching, turn potential into performance, create global strategic alliances, and in a coach-like fashion look to the future.

:: Credible, Competent, Collaborative, Committed :: Standing on the shoulders of giants, I lead the ICF marketing initiatives to get clarity on who we are, who we serve, and how we communicate. Although I am considered an expert in the coaching process, I still await the day when I am asked, What specialization? and not, What sport? The release of the ICF brand and the Board’s ratifying the marketing committee’s group-composed purpose statement is a cause for celebration. However, the real work is just beginning. Elements need to be adopted and well-implemented for true benefits to be realized. While the Brand-in-a-Box comes with a manual, assembly is required. A brand and reputation needs to built from the inside out of every individual as well as top down and bottom up. Above all it must be authentic and resonate; consistently sending good vibrations. That is one of the reasons I stepped down from my Chair position after the conference, and with widespread encouragement, moved forward in this election process. This election campaign was based solely on word of mouth. Special thanks to all the "fact checkers" and reporters who spread the word. It was magical communicating with hundreds of coaches. Thanks for sharing, questioning, listening, and reflecting. I bring to the table a proven background of excellence in marketing, education, business, and information technology that generates proven results and value. Having home bases on two continents, I possess an international perspective and I cherish my resilient global relationships. Being competent, demonstrating commitment, and maintaining ethics with honesty and fairness in all aspects of doing business generate trustworthiness. With intention and integrity, voices need to be backed up with credible actions that help humanity flourish. Like so many of you shared, the opportunity to volunteer your experience and expertise has been unbelievable. Thousands of whispers can become a strong, powerful voice.

:: Experience, Expertise, Ethical, International :: Rivers, PhD, PCC, CPT, MCT is described as one of the few, who influence the few, who influence the many. What you will not often find on a resume or job history is a list of character traits and personal strengths. Dr. Rivers is rightfully described by words that include "likable", "ingenious", "intelligent", "inspiring", "inclusive", and "committed". When speaking with her you will find she is quietly confident, caring, trustworthy, and diplomatic-all aspects of a great coach and leader. As a life-long learner, she has sought to hone her skills by pursuing advanced degrees, doctoral research on competency, and completing 15+ different coach specific training programs. For years she has posited that especially in these challenging times, with humanity undergoing many profound changes, coaches are vehicles that can help individuals get to their desired destination.

:: Integrity, Intelligence, Ingenuity, Inclusive :: Rivers has built strong relationships with coaches from all parts of the world. From China to Chile -- Australia to Uruguay -- the European Union to the United States. Supportive members across the globe put her on the ICF ballot believing together, we can all help humanity flourish. Tackling challenging issues, here are just a few of the specific examples she worked hard for and collaborated with her peers on is a variety of positions such as:

MARKETING COMMITTEE CHAIR

- Created a project management system to clarify roles, responsibilities, and due dates; kept internal/ external tasks, goals, and outcomes on track.
- Advocated transparency, knowledge sharing, and learning; architected an online platform for teams to collaborate.
- Documented and desigend forum in which members posted over 400 comments/ files in just nine months making our monthly meetings more effective.
- Developed rapport within the group. First gained consensus on how to best operate to generate results after introductions.
- Established and managed the process for double blind reviewing presenter marketing track conference sessions.
- Produced a 130-page report on Coaching World (and other communications) recommending quality over quantity, multi-lingual editions, and touch points.
- Board's ratified the marketing committee's group-composed purpose statement 
- Expedited release of the ICF brand; co-wrote/ edited documents.

CHARTER CHAPTER PRESIDENT

- Designed and directed 2-year campaign initiative: focusing on upgrading competencies and building business:
     Focus on Your Dream: Business Side of Coaching—Expand Your Horizons: Mastering Coaching Competencies
- Organized an allied event HR related associations with 350 people attending.
- Conducted coach match-up event with ICF credentialed coaches and 18 large non-profit associations for paid coaching sessions
- Offered engaging and dynamic rock star speakers who face-to-face gave informative and entertaining presentations
- Assisted coaches to enter the profession, secure training, resulting in a significant increase in credentialed coaches in one year
- Campaign aligned ICF materials with event; produced advertising and PR to publicize Coach Week program featured (e.g. in ICF Magazine and website) 
- Created the innovative concept of PODs (Points of Discussion) holding meeting to reach geographically dispersed members
- Revitalized the chapter and “brought to new heights”; 10 people stepped up to be on the Board
